Boyd Foster combines his public accounting experience with his understanding of private industry, having spent six years at a leading public utility and health care insurer. Today, he frequently works with manufacturers and distributors and clients in the financial services industries.

He has developed a special expertise as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a professional accomplishment that denotes proven proficiency in fraud prevention, detection, and deterrence through completion of stringent academic, business experience, and ethical requirements. In fact, Boyd spearheaded the forensic audit that identified the sources involved in the largest private embezzlement in Massachusetts history. As a result, he authored an article in Fraud Magazine, entitled A Few Key Controls Could Save Your Company Millions, designed to prevent embezzlement through management oversight and controls and was recently interviewed by Providence Business News on this topic. Boyd is also certified with the distinctive Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV),  a credential conferred by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he is a part of the New Young Professionals Network. He is active in the community as a member of the finance committee of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School. He was recently elected to the board of P.A.R.I. (formerly known as the Paraplegia Association of Rhode Island), an independent living resource center for individuals with disabilities.
