Michael Pendergast leads the firm’s business valuation and litigation support department, providing expert business valuations and in-person testimony in cases such as divorce, shareholder disputes and business acquisitions. In fact, Mike was in the first class in the state to be certified with the distinction of Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), a credential conferred by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants on CPAs who demonstrate the skill, education and experience necessary to satisfy stringent requirements.

As part of his tax practice Mike reviews tax compliance work, performs multifaceted tax research and, when needed, represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service. He is recognized for being level-headed in contentious situations and dedicated to creating mutual harmony and respect.

A graduate of Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Taxation, Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and its sections on Tax and Management Consulting.  E-mail Mike at mpendergast@SullivanCPA.com.
