Patrick McAssey works with the firm’s health care clients such as skilled nursing facilities, retirement communities, and residential programs for the developmentally disabled, often resolving disputes in field audits conducted by third-party insurers and the Rhode Island Department of Human Services.

He works closely with clients in the reparation of cost reports, rate submissions and appeals, and, on a proactive basis, to develop operating budgets, projections and forecasts. Pat provides hands-on training to client personnel on the maintenance of Medicare statistics and billing techniques. He also oversees annual audits of financial statements and electronic submission of companies that have obtained insured financing from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Pat spearheads the firm’s team for Employee Retirement Income and Security Act (ERISA) audits and is active in the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants.  Start a conversation with Pat at pmcassey@SullivanCPA.com.
